Warranty and Returns

Problems and Returns.

  • ANY DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS MUST BE REPORTED TO US  WITH PHOTOS WITHIN 24HRS OF RECEIVING GOODS.
  • Only If item is picked up from shop and there is missing or broken part we will require part to be brought back to shop so you may collect replacement part or collect missing part.
  • Pet Homes is not responsible for delays that the delivery services may incur.
    ·  Deliveries are taking longer due to the impacts of COVID-19, including international delays, fewer domestic flights and high volumes of products being bought online.
    These factors will also be affecting courier and delivery businesses.
    ·  Customers should anticipate that it may take longer than usual for online purchases to be delivered,  
    Please Disregard any eBays expected deliver dates , as we do not supply these. Please take that up with eBay.
    Australia Post has temporarily removed its Express Post next day guarantee.
    While Australia has any lockdowns No returns will be accepted due to lengthy delivery times.
  • Should you be unhappy with the item received or should you like to return the product for any reason then please contact Phil on 0418 783 555
  • If you do not contact us about problems then we wont be able to help
  • I can guarantee that if you do contact us we will give a fair and reasonable solution to every problem.
  • In the case of a faulty/damaged item or an item that does not match description we give replacement parts once the part or item has been returned. No Full Refunds apply in this case. 
  • Please check each advert for their own return and warranty policy.
  • In the case of a change of mind we will happily refund purchase price once the item has been received back in saleable condition,
  • But we do not refund any of the shipping costs as these are costs of the transaction so please choose carefully.
  • We do not refund postage if item is returned after refusing Pet Homes offer to replace broken parts or item.
  • For Exchanges and returns , we do charge a restocking fee of $5.40 for items up to $100, BUT the fee for items such a coops etc will be $20.00  Regardless if it is free post or not.
  • We do not exchange or take returns on any type of Dog neck collar or Chains , due to the possibility of spreading dog diseases Parvo and hygiene reasons.

Transaction Security

  • As a registered business with a 'bricks and mortar' location you can be confident that any transaction conducted with us is done so with the full protection of consumer law in Australia.
  • It is important to us that every customers feels safe and confident when dealing with us and this is why we maintain a physical showroom for customers to visit.
  • So unlike sellers who do not welcome pick ups we encourage buyers to come by and have a look at our range of products in person. Just contact us to arrange an appointment.

Product Warranty

  • All products come with varying warrantys from 6 months for electronic and electrical products,
  • There is 12 month warranty on Timber and stainless products, against manufacturing defects.
  • We recommend that alll wooden chicken houses and runs should be painted, not painting them before use voids any warranty.
  • After visiting all of our overseas suppliers personally we have been able to set up quality control protocols that generally ensure that our products are free from defects - hence the fact that we warrant this!
  • Refund Policy

    All goods are delivered with an unconditional 100% money back guarantee in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. In order to return goods under your money back guarantee, and you must arrange for and pay the cost of returning the goods to us. Returns and refunds after a 7 day period only apply to faulty goods.

    Refunds will be provided after Pet Homes receive the item returned, to ensure we have proof the the product is not the same condition as it left our warehouse.
    Warning:- In the case of  a wooden product that has traveled many miles and passed thru many hands before it gets to you we wish to advsie you It could arrive with some minor scratches or scrapes and chips to the wood & bitumen roof.
    We will not accept returns for these minor imperfections, wood in particular by nature will expand and contract which can cause minor irregularities.   
    This item has been treated with a water chalk based colour which gives it a wood tone color..

    Faulty goods

    In these terms and conditions faulty goods means any goods we supply to you that do not conform to the contract. Faulty goods does not include any goods that are faulty due to fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, The warranty is voided where damage to the product is caused by reason other then manufacturer's defects, misuse, improper use, abuse, faulty operation contrary to recommended usage, transportation damage or when product has been tampered, altered, modified, converted, repaired or serviced other than by us or when this warranty has been tampered, amended and also on cosmetic damages, wear n' tear, damage to accessories You should notify us within 7 days of taking delivery of the goods if you discover that any goods are faulty.
    Refund does not apply if you refuse Pet Homes offer to replace boken parts or item.

    Returning goods – general

    When you return goods to us for any reason:

  • you must ensure that they are properly and securely packaged and labelled with our address; and with a tracking number
  • you are always responsible for any damage in transit that is due to incorrect packing or inadequate packaging by you
  • you are responsible for any damage or loss in transit where you arrange the transport.
  • you must ensure if  there are any broken or damaged parts , they  also must be returned.
  • Please note: The customer is responsible for returning the product. We recommend that you use a courier with a trackable shipping method as we are not responsible for damaged or lost return packages and will not issue you a refund if we do not receive the product back in a new, unused, unsoiled condition with all the original packaging and pieces, fit for re-sale. On receipt the returned item we will inspected and we will issue you a refund for the cost of the item within 7 working days. We also recommend that you choose a courier that will insure your returned items from loss or damage. We do not refund any delivery charges, this includes the original cost to get the product to you and or the costs involved in returning it.

    If you return goods because you think they are faulty goods, we may charge you the cost of all transport and our actual costs and expenses in the event that the goods are not in fact faulty goods
  •  If an item needs to be returned for warranty after the 14-day period from the date of dispatch, postage for both ways will be at the buyer's expense.
    We do not accept any item return by COD. The returned postage must be paid entirely by the bidder.
  • You have to contact us before you return anything
  • If the listing does not contain any warranty information then we will provide 90 days warranty. Please check the listing first for the correct warranty period.
  • So if you do have any problems please let us know and we do our best to assist.
  • Buyers Remorse.
  •  We do not refund if you change you mind. If you refuse the replacement parts then There is no other reason than buyers remorse which does not entitle you to a refund.
